A deeply faithful man, Pete sees "money and land as the only things that hold a church back from growing. I'm here to solve the land problem." With over 30 years of land & real estate sales experience behind him, Pete envisions buying land and donating it to fledgling evangelical congregations, five acre parcels at a time.

But he realized he couldn't do it alone. Buying and selling as a one-man show is one thing but buying and donating is an entirely different matter. With a vision in one hand and a pencil in the other, Pete did the math. Targeting the five-year goal, his real estate business would have to increase by 70 percent--no small feat. But then facing challenge head on is nothing new to Pete. A former oil and gas man, his family's financial security became a casualty of that industry's decline during the mid-1980s. Nearly bankrupt, with foreclosure on his home imminent, Pete changed careers. "Real estate chose me and I've come to love it."

A Metro Brokers partner, Pete has turned selling homes into a science. Enlisting the expertise of selling coach, Bob Corcoran, Pete recently put his entire team through a two-day regimen of personalized critiquing. Furthering the opportunity for excellence, Pete has participated in Howard Brinton seminars, known for being high tech and high touch.

"We analyze our clients according to their personality types. Then we match them with the right sales person and the right lender. Some buyers want to be coddled, others just want the facts and figures-we give them want they need." The team Pete assembled has the necessary tools to capitalize performance and stay motivated to the cause.

He's given himself five years to accomplish a dream that will last a lifetime. However, Pete does note that while man can set goals and objectives, it will all be done in God's timing, not man's.

 Elaine Proctor has an eye for detail. The newest member of Pete Doty and Company, a Metro Denver real estate firm, Elaine likens her responsibilities to putting together a jigsaw puzzle. "The border is done and I'm filling in the pieces." With extensive banking, insurance and real estate experience behind her, Elaine knows the ins and outs of the real estate business. "I don't like to sell but I love the administrative part of the business."

Quickly becoming an indispensable part of the team in her new position as Client Care Coordinator, Elaine schedules showings, monitors listing activity and organizes mountains of paperwork. All the while, giving it her all. "You have to like what you do cause when you like it, you'll put your all into it," she said.

A Colorado native, Elaine lived for a time in California and Oklahoma but family and Colorado's natural beauty beckoned her home. "I have to be where I'm comfortable. You make things happen when you feel good about yourself."

Referring to Pete Doty Elaine said, "I want to grow with them. Learning in a small company is fun and challenging. I like their spirit."
