Kiowa is located on the scenic route to the Rockies along Highway 86.  The Town receives travelers from the east and west on Highway 86, North on the Kiowa-Bennett Road from I-70, and South on the Elbert Road from Highway 24.  

Some of the services offered are Restaurants, Banking facilities, gas stations, large and small animal veterinarians, Abstract office, Auto repair, Accounting Services, animal feed and supplies, storage area, beauty parlors, car wash, real estate offices, insurance, and a host of cottage industries. 

Preschool through grade 12 is offered at the Elbert County School District C-2.  Contact the school district directly at 303-621-2115.

The Kiowa Economic Development Committee (KEDCO), is to help find new businesses or assist existing businesses in the Town limits.  According to a survey sent to town residences, several suggestions for economic expansion was listed: Family style restaurants, grocery store, Dairy Queen, recreation facilities, as well as other small specialty shops.
